In the ancient city Fuzhou, a political stronghold and trading port, the foreign and traditional culture combine to shape a unique architectural form and block style. Through literature inquiries, field investigation, interviews with well-known experts and lessons from failure cases, the author proposes a creative and sustainable protection measure, the « old Museum of Architecture protected areas », to the unique historical axis pattern of Fuzhou, trying to combine the city pattern, architectural history, context inheritance and urban development.
