The aim of our project was to create an alternative car principle which would be more eco-friendly than a petrol powered or an electric car.
Our passion for magnetism and the increasing importance of the electromagnetic force in science led us to develop a theoretical model of an electromagnetic car. The engine we built is consisted of two programmed inductors that are successively switched on and off.
It is demonstrated that the electromagnetic car, moving forward thanks to the attraction between the inductors and the permanent magnets, which are placed in a defined distance from one another in the street, does not release any nitrogen oxide or CO2 emissions.
