The last couple of years we have seen an increase in the amount of flooding and many of these occur because our climate is changing. This project has the purpose of developing a method for visualizing and calculating the effects of flooding. The method is then applied to the town Falun in Sweden. It is useful to be able to analyze results of different floodings and these results can be an input for planning or risk management for towns. Since the method works with commonly available data and software it could be used by most municipalities in Sweden and in other contries. The study is based on analyzes of 3D data and property information for Falun and it is made in the software ArcGIS.
